INFORMATION ON POSSIBLE CLINICAL
TESTING IN ST. PETERBURG

2.3.1. BIOCONTROLLED ELECTROSTIMULATION.

2.3.1.1. Influence upon neural conductors by the impulse currents, parameters of which change depending on the impedance of tissues in the zone of influence. Series (20-250) of bipolar damping impulses, having duration of 25-60 mks and amplitude - from 10 to 250 V.
2.3.1.2. Under the influence of alternating current impulses, selective electrostimulation takes place. It results in local changes of microcirculation and skin trophics due to both local (developing by axone-reflex mechanism) and segmental-reflex reactions. These are followed by the increase of capacity of sub-electrode tissues, which causes reduction of frequency of alternating current impulses. At a certain duration of impulse signal period an automatic ceasing of influence occurs.
2.3.1.3. The procedures are carried out by PROLOG and CKFHAP devices. Developed and produced in the manufacturing departments of Taganrog and Vitebsk.
2.3.1.4. Today 1000 devices are being applied on Russia's market, 200 - abroad.
2.3.1.5. The technique is used to treat for central paralysis and paresis, flaccid paralysis with painful syndrome, neuritis and neuralgia, radiculitis with acute radicular syndrome, ischemic insult, hypertensive desease of I-II stages, trophic ulser, overstrain, neurosis.
2.1.1.6. Contra-indications: acute purulent inflammatory diseases, infectious illnesses, diseases of veins of lower extremities, anticoagulative blood system diseases, hemorrhagic insult.

2.3.2. MAGNETOTHERAPY BY TRAVELLING MAGNETIC FIELD.

2.3.2.1. Medical application of changing in space magnetic component of low-frequency (10-100 imp*sec-1) alternating electromagnetic field. Magnetic fields with the induction not exceeding 100 Tesla are used.
2.3.2.2. Spatial heterogeneity of magnetic fields causes formation of magnetohydrodynamic forces, which raise tonus, accelerate diffusion of water dipoles, reduce edemata and stimulate lymphodrainage, in conducting moving mediums (blood, lymph). Owing to the periodical changing of orientation of uncompensated pertaining to spin magnetic moments of free radicals, low-frequency magnetic field may substantially change the speed of peroxide oxidation of lipids. This fact facilitates the activation of metabolism in organs and tissues, eliminates infiltration and accelerates epithelization of wounds. Magnetic fields, change frequency of which coincides with parametric resonance of the main cations of the organism tissues (for example, Ca2+), possess similar effect.
2.3.2.3. The procedures are conducted with the help of ALIMP device. Developed by Saint Petersburg and Moscow enterprises.
2.3.2.4. Today 10000 devices are being applied on Russia's market, abroad - not known.
2.3.2.5. Used against extremities edemata for patients with varicose and postthrombotic disease, against ischemic heart disease, consequences of brain closed injuries and ischemic insult, peripheral neural system diseases and damages, neurosis, vegetalogy, chronic inflammatory diseases of viscera - lungs, abdomen, liver, duodenum, kidneys - with marked edema, genital organs diseases, bone fractures, arthrosis and arthritis, osteomyelitis, parodontosis, otoloringological diseases, flaccidly repairing injuries, burns, cheloid cicatrix.
2.3.2.6. Contra-indications: individual heightened sensibility to a factor, post myocardial infarction (1-3 months) condition, hemorrhagic insult, ischemic heart disease, stenocardia, hypotonia, presence of artificial cardiostimulators.

2.3.3. HALOAEROSOLIC THERAPY.

2.3.3.1. Medical application of dry superfine aerosol of sodium chloride, more than 80% particles of which are less than 5 mkm. Sodium chloride mass concentration is from 0,5 to 10mgr*m-3, and negative volumetric charge of its particles is 6-10 nCl*m-3.
2.3.3.2. Sodium chloride aerosol is able to penetrate through the respiratory tract to the level of small bronchi and result in increase of amplitude of movements of cilia of bronchi ciliated epithelium, activating mucociliary transport. Due to the recovery of normal osmolarity of bronchi and bronchioles secretion, it reduces convection current and decreases secretory function of the latter. As a result of this, maximum ventilation and living capacity of lungs increase, patient's dyspnea and the number of lung rales decreases. Under dissociation on the bronchial surface sodium chloride microcrystals change concentration gradient and intensify passive transport in epithelial cells of the respiratory tract, activating mucocyliar mechanism of lungs drainage system. Recovery of intracellular pH leads to the induction of repair-regenerative processes in bronchioles. Penetrating through the intercellular clefts into the tunica submucosa of respiratory tract soludium ions depolarize the neurolemma of free nerve endings there and stimulate reduction of heightened bronchi tonus. As a consequence of the halotherapy course the allergization level of patient's organism decreases appreciably. Content of eosinophiles, circulating immunocomplexes and gamma-globulins in the blood decreases. For bronchial asthma patients quantity of Ig A, E and G is reduced by 30-50%, which indicates the activation of immunoreactive system. Getting to the coverlets it retards the skin immune processes.
2.3.2.3. Haloinhalation therapy procedures are carried out with the help of individual inhalators HISA-01 (HaloNeb), in two modes of haloaerosol productivity: 0,4-0,6 mgr*min-1 (1st mode) and 0,8-1,2 mgr*min-1 (2nd mode). Duration of the procedures is 10-15 min. Table white salt is used for producing the haloaerosol. Developed by an enterprise of Saint Petersburg.
2.3.2.4. Today 800 devices are being applied on Russia's market, 300 - abroad.
2.3.3.5. Used against chronic nonspecific lungs diseases (subacute bronchitis, chronic nonobstructive bronchitis with an asthmatic component, chronic obstructive bronchitis without signs of pulmonary heart, atopic bronchial asthma, infectious-dependent and mixed types, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis), and skin diseases.
2.3.3.6. Contra-indications: hormone-dependant bronchial asthma with frequent and serious attacks, acute bronchitis, acute and chronic pneumonia, acute laryngotracheitis, pulmonary emphysema, chronic nonspecific lungs diseases with pulmonary-cardiac insufficiency of no higher than II stage.

2.3.4. VIBROVACUUM THERAPY.

2.3.4.1. Medical influence upon patient by local vacuum-decompression and vibration. In vacuum-applicator exhaustion reaches 60 kilopascal (585 mm Hg). Frequency range of vibration of the vibrator's checker - 10-70 Hz, and vibrator's degree of rotation in the bowls of vacuum-applicators - 47±50.
2.3.4.2. Combined influence of local exhaustion and vibration upon various tissues for mechanical stimulation of nerve and muscle fibres. Such an influence provides mobilization of fat out of depot and speeding up its utilization in the organism. Intensification of several types of metabolism stimulates the processes of catabolism. Local decompression gives rise to the increase of bloodflow in underlying tissues, improves lymph outflow of the latter and enhances fat exchange. Vibrations of complex trajectory and definite frequency evoke the effect of longitudinal air-blast wave of muscle fibres cycling, which results in the rise of contractility and excitability of skeletal and smooth muscles, as well as in the activation of level of metabolic processes of all the layers of skin and subcutaneous fat. Elevation of linkage of the vibrating vacuum-applicator with skin gives rise to the increase of effective influence depth on account of enhancement of blood-filling and strain of tissues in the area of placing the vacuum-applicator during the procedure.
2.3.4.3. NOLAR device with vacuum-applicators of several sizes (45, 50 and 60 mm in diameter) is used for the procedures. Developed by an enterprise of Saint Petersburg.
2.3.4.4. Today 50 devices are being applied on Russia's market, 10 - abroad.
2.3.4.5. Used to treat for metabolism diseases, degenerate and dystrophic processes, injuries, traumas and consequences of surgeries, atonia of smooth muscles of internals (stomach, intestine, biliary system, urinary bladder), cardiovascular system diseases (ischemic heart disease, stenocardia, I-II stage hypertension), primary muscular atrophy, as well as to rise muscular tonus, to carry out the prophylaxis against fatigue, hypodynamia and hypokinesia, to reduce the depth of functional dermal folds and wrinkles, to conduct lymphodrainage, to alleviate skin flabbiness, to carry out the prophylaxis against forming of permanent dermal folds, skin loose-hanging; to recover the tonus of skeletal muscles.
