SETTING YOUR COMPUTER TO THE GDV CAMERA

After installing ZIPSHOT and GDV programs you should calibrate the programs to the particular GDV Camera. For this:

  1. Check the "BRIGHTNESS" setting in the Manual/Specifications and adjust the recommended value in ARCSOFT ZIPSHOT Program.
  2. Close ARCSOFT ZIPSHOT Program.
  3. Open GDV Grabber Program.
  4. Clear the GDV Lens with alcohol.
  5. Place the GDV Test-object at the middle of the GDV Lens inside the Cover.
  6. Take 10 beograms of the test-object. They should look as a dark ring with black ring inside. In case of distorted ring or lightning inside check the position of the test-object and clean the GDV Lens.
  7. Save beograms in the GDV/New/Test folder.
  8. Process beograms in the GDV Processor.
  9. If there are "noise" around the test-object, click Screen/Clear All and load the beograms again. Decrease the Level Background from 250 to 240 and process beograms. If there are "noise" again, repeat the procedure and put 230, and so on till you see clear field around the beogram. Usually we do not use Background Level less than 220.
  10. Open all GDV Programs and put selected Background Level. Close GDV Programs.
  11. Open GDV Diagram Program. Press CALIBRATION (NORMALIZER) button. Choose and select beograms of the test-object and press OK. Wait for processing. This program calculates sector parameters for the test-object beograms that work as calibration references. In case if Coefficient of variation does not exceed 4-5 press "Exit & Save". If Coefficient of variation exceeds 5, press "Exit" and try to get reproducible beograms of the test-object. If you fail after a set of trials, repeat this procedure the next day or contact Kirlionics Technologies International.

We recommend calibrate the GDV Camera every 6 month of operation.
