Prosexual FactsDr. Ward Dean Comments on the Zorgnotti Arginine Study:
The 40% response rate (6/15 responders) seen in the Zorgniotti study (see Prosexual Enhancement) is a very positive finding, especially given that drugs are often approved with lower efficacy rates than this. Since the amount of arginine used in this study was on the low side, it is entirely possible that at least some of the non-responders could indeed have turned out to be responders had the dose been increased by a factor of two to three (from approximately 3 g to 6-9 g). Other studies indicate that when you slow, stop, and or reverse the atherosclerosis-induced deterioration of arteries, NOS synthesis may indeed increase and return to more normal levels, thus allowing for enhanced production of NO.1,2 Bear in mind, however, there are some people who should not use arginine supplements. These include pregnant women, as well as people with diabetes, cancer, or ocular or brain herpes infection. 1. Stamler JS, Osborne JA, Jaraki O, Rabbani LE, Mullins M, Singel D,

ProSexual Effects of Ginkgo BilobaAt the Seoul National University Medical School in Korea, researchers have been hard at work searching for the component of Ginkgo Biloba that has the largest impact on smooth muscle relaxation for the rabbit and human corpus cavernosum. Why? Because that, they reason, is the road to solving the problems of impotence. It seems that the corpus cavernosum, a soft tissue area of the penis, is the door which, when relaxed, blocks the egress of blood from the penis, thus prolonging erection. Among the fractions of ginkgo biloba extract (GBE), they found that the nonginkgolide, nonflavonoid fraction (NGF) was the most effective at relaxing vascular smooth muscle. And subfractions of NGF were even more potent, but because the effect was so concentrated, the scientists were concerned, especially before use in oral form. This is not totally new. Our ProSexual PlusTM has contained Ginkgo biloba for nearly two years because other research has indicated that it operates as a releasing and enhancing agent for nitrous oxide synthase, the rate-limiting enzyme necessary for the production of nitric oxide, also known as endothelium-derived relaxing factor. 2 Nitric oxide has been known to enhance potency through its powerful effect on relaxing the tissue of the corpus cavernosum. 1. Attention Yohimbe Users(and Others Who Ought to Be) A report from the Archives of Sexual Behavior has once again reestablished the exceptional value of yohimbine (the active ingredient in Yohimbe TonicTM) for enhancing erectile function. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study lasting seven weeks, 31 male subjects took 15 mg of yohimbine daily. They experienced a significant improvement in both penile tumescence (hardness) and rigidity. 1 In Chaos & Cyber Culture, one of Timothy Leary's final books, there is a humorous, charming, and insightful chapter entitled, "In Search of the True Aphrodisiac," in which he describes the "discovery" of yohimbe. 2 This chapter, by itself, is well worth the price of the book. Writes Dr. Leary, "Sex means cheerfully giving up control to receive pleasure. The less sex, the more compulsion to control." 1. Mann K, Klingler T, Noe S, Roschke J, Muller S, Benkert O. Effects
of yohimbine on sexual experiences and nocturnal penile tumescence and rigidity in
