1. How will my tank arrive? Your tank will arrive by truck in
several cartons. If you are outside the North American continent, it arrives by ship or by
plane. [Top]
2. How difficult is it to put the tank up when it gets here?
Samadhi tanks are very easy to assemble. We supply a video "Owner's Manual" that
lets you see what to do, as well as a written manual. You need two people and about two
hours. It is fun to put up the tank, like assembling a good puzzle. Really. [Top]
3. How big is the tank? Will it fit my location? Somehow the
Samadhi Tank seems to take up very little space, especially for something so big. It fits
well in a surprising variety of locations, and unassembled, the tank easily fits through
doorways and hallways. [Top]
4. What kind of plumbing and electrical hook-ups do I need to have
for my tank? No plumbing hookup is used. The Samadhi Tank is completely self
contained. When you fill your tank, you will need hot water from a standard faucet. A
garden hose is used for this. Household current (110V, 13amps) is all that you need to run
the electrical components. [Top]
5. How much salt do I need and where do I get it? You need 800
pounds (360kg) of salt for the tank solution. To find the salt, look in the Yellow Pages
of your telephone directory under "Chemicals". The names of some companies are,
PQ Corp.,Van Waters and Rogers, and McKesson. Buy pharmaceutical grade epsom salts
(U.S.P.). [Top]
6. How often do I change the salt? Never. As long as you keep
your solution maintained, there is no reason to change it. [Top]
7. Does the tank do anything to the atmosphere in the room? Will
the room be humid from the tank? No. The tank door is usually closed so the humidity
stays inside where it belongs. I have a bed above my tank which would make a humidity
problem very obvious and I don't have one. [Top]
8. Will there be a tank odor? No. Not if you maintain it and of
course you will want to maintain it. [Top]
9. What about maintenance? How much time and money will I have
to spend on an ongoing basis? Very little. For your personal tank, you turn your pump
on weekly and you test the solution for density monthly, adding more water if the solution
is too dense. The test takes 5 minutes and adjusting the solution takes 10 minutes. The
Samadhi Tank is virtually maintenance free. REALLY! The time spent in a commercial
application is considerably more and we have tips of the trade to help you handle
maintenance easily and effectively. [Top]
10. What if something breaks? The service and support you
get from the Samadhi Tank Company are legendary. They have to be since we1ve wanted to
stay in the floating business for such a long time. In the rare event your tank needs a
new part, our modular design makes part replacements. [Top]
11. What if I have to move, can I move my tank? Yes. If you
move, your Samadhi Tank disassembles to fit back into the original cartons until you are
ready to set your tank up again. [Top]
12. If floating is so great, how come it hasn't caught on? This
is an interesting question and we really don't know the answer. Our speculation is that it
is just too good to be very popular. Most people settle for very little. This is the
ultimate for those of us who know that we have to do our own work. We are in charge of our
attitudes. Maintenance and vigilance are required to stay tuned in and on course. Of
course there are not hordes of people willing to rise to the challenge. [Top]
13. Why should I get my tank from Samadhi Tank Co.? Because we
are the best company and we would like you to have the very best. Our business is not a
huge, impersonal organization, but a specialty company, personally supervised by us, where
sincere dedication to the finest quality and to your satisfaction. [Top]
